Janna's Easy Peasy Chocolate Dreams Pie

Let's be honest, there are hundreds of versions of this pie floating around. This is my take on it. Enjoy!!

Ingredients
Pre-made Pie Crust (normal, graham cracker, chocolate cookie, etc.)
1 small package of instant chocolate pudding mix
Milk (usually 2 1/4 cups as per instant pudding mix directions less 1 tsp)
5 cream filled chocolate cookies, crushed
1/3 cup chocolate chips or 4 squares of baking chocolate, broke into bits
1 tsp vanilla extract
Whipped cream

Method
Prepare pie crust as per directions (bake if necessary). Let cool.

Prepare instant chocolate pudding mix as per directions adding 1 tsp vanilla extract. Once mixed, add 1/4 cup of chocolate chips, putting remainder aside for now. Mix well. Pour mixture into cooled pie crust. Sprinkle crushed cookies on top. Sprinkle remainder of chocolate chips on top. Chill pie until fully set, about an hour.

Serve with whipped cream!

Notes
Use non-fat/reduced fat milk to cut calories. It tastes the same.
Use sugar-free instant chocolate pudding mix if you are cutting natural sugars.
Chocolate chips may be omitted or switched for choco-mint.
Mint chocolate cookies like the famous Girl Scouts ones are super great to use instead of cream filled chocolate cookies.
A tbsp of instant coffee turns this into a Mocha Dream Pie. A shot of expresso may be used instead, but let cool and reduce the amount of milk by the amount of expresso.
Does not freeze, keep in fridge for 3 days.
Serves 6. (Hahahaha, OK serves just me!)
