Xbox 360 & Xbox One's Games With Gold 1/7/2015
First of all, I'm back. Life has settled down and I now have a regular routine in which I can blog again. Thank you all for hanging in there while my non-blogging life was getting sorted.
So, let's get right into saving some money and how to earn a bit of Microsoft Money.

I'm a fan of racing games. So, I'm happy with this freebie. I've played a bit and got a few achievements just for messing with my character and bike. I love how you can alter the races to extend the length or shorten it as well.
Give it a try. If you don't like it, you can delete it from your hard drive.

A throw-back game...reminds me of games that I played in the 90's. It is interesting. A bit tedious at times. And be warned, you have to wait for the autosave.

Earning Microsoft Money
Via the Xbox Live Rewards program, Xbox Gold Members get 1000 points ($1) for 10+ hours played of a Games with Gold title during it's release period. Start the game and be sure you are actually playing the game not on the Menu or Paused. Plugging in your controller will prevent it from turning off and throwing you into Pause if the game isn't interesting for you to play.
In addition, purchasing DLC for the current Games with Gold title gives members another 2000 points ($2). And my frugal friends, free DLC counts! Sadly not all games have DLC or free DLC. But...snag it when it's there!
This brings each title up to a total of 3000 points ($3) gamers can possibly earn.
So, let's do the math for the end of month possibility:

Worms Battlegrounds - 1000 points
MX vs. ATV Alive - 1000 points
The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings - 1000 points
Subtotal: 4000 points

Cashout is at 5000 points ($5) so, for the lucky people with Xbox One and Xbox 360, they get four (4) free games and get paid $6 to play the games.
Just 360 owners can get 2000 points ($2).
Just Xbox One owners can get 4000 points ($4).
