Weekend Gaming Fun (Events/Double XP/etc.) 1/25/2013

A few things this weekend, but only in specific games: Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Mass Effect 3 and GTA IV.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
It is a double XP weekend for Black Ops 2 players, starting on 1/25 (10am/PST) going until 1/28 (10am/PST) on 360/PS3/PC/Wii. No word on PC players. On a side note, the Nuketown map for PS3 players seems to be fixed...

Mass Effect 3
Another operation starts at 1pm/EST 1/25. Here are the details.

Event Description: Recon has new estimates on the number of Reaper creatures, and the news is dire. Each of you must inflict as many casualties as possible, and we must destroy husk-creation mechanisms like Dragon’s Teeth. If we fail to accomplish this, we will be even more outnumbered in the coming days.
Individual Goal: Earn any gold weapon medal (Assault Rifle/Heavy Pistol/Shotgun/Sniper Rifle/Submachine Gun).
Reward: Commendation Pack

As was pointed out by bgame1367, four-ish waves on Bronze solo will grab you this if the recent influx of Christmas Kill Stealers has you annoyed. Runs across all platforms.

GTA IV
Already started, Rockstar has an event running Friday January 25th, 11am until 2pm EST. Look for our dev players in-game on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
