Be Careful With These!

• United Way - Supposed to help Americans with utility bills, rent, etc. via local offices. I contacted them during Hurricane Katrina and was told flat out they would not help me find a place to live or anything else. In addition, over the years, allegations of fraud have been made and even substantiated.
• Red Cross - Supposed to help with bills, rent, etc. I could write a book about these scammers after what they put me through during Hurricane Katrina. But, not everyone will suffer as I did and I will point out one or two Red Cross employees (yep, they make a good living from your donations) were wonderful and tried hard to overcome the BS of their employer.
